Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers notice, understand or take part in the small, shared parts of community life. Send proposals through the Contact page; a clear idea and a little context are more useful than a polished full draft.
Ideas that fit
We are interested in shared places, gatherings, neighbourly exchange, belonging and local memory. A strong pitch has a distinct question or point of view, explains why it matters to a general reader, and gives a sense of what the finished piece would help them see or do. Comparisons, explainers and carefully framed personal observations can all work when they offer a wider takeaway.
Keep it grounded
Please say what you know directly and what would need checking. Avoid claims that depend on unnamed people, unsupported numbers or sweeping statements about a whole community. If your idea concerns a specific place, custom or group, explain the context and how you would treat it fairly. We do not seek material that reveals private information without a clear reason and appropriate permission.
How to pitch
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short summary, the central idea and any relevant experience or sources you would draw on. Please do not send confidential material. We cannot promise to accept or reply to every proposal, but a focused pitch makes its fit easier to assess.
Connection grows through small acts of care
A place becomes more than a location when people have ways to meet, contribute and share what they know. We look at the choices that can make those moments feel natural.
